About our Retailers
With a growing list of over 100 National, recognizable and trusted retailers, Fundscrip makes it easy to participate. You can find gift cards for the basics like groceries and gas but we also carry a large variety of other types of cards including: pharmacy, home improvement, department store, restaurants, pizza, coffee shops, household items, clothing stores, entertainment, travel etc.
All our gift cards come from the retailers themselves and can be used just like cash so you can be sure they will be accepted when you use them. Many cards have no expiry dates but you can check the info on the back of your cards for more details.
How to use a gift card
The gift cards are plastic cards about the same size as a credit card. They are referred to as declining balance cards as they come with a pre-determined cash value loaded electronically on the card. As you use the card, it’s scanned and your purchases are deducted from the stored cash value. Once you use the entire amount on the card, you can dispose* of it and use another card.
Unfortunately, our gift cards are not re-loadable at this point in time but we are working closely with our Retail Partners to offer this service in the near future.
*In some areas, plastic gift cards are recyclable. FundScrip urges you to dispose of your cards in this environmentally friendly way whenever possible.
How do I register if my group is offering this program online?

How can I pay for my gift cards
- EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
- Online/Telephone Banking and In-branch payment (coming soon)
- VISA or MasterCard - earnings are 1.99% lower than the posted rate
- Cheque – orders can only be paid by cheque, if your group chooses to accept this option. Cheques must be made payable to your group, who will then pay FundScrip collectively for all orders paid by cheque
When does my group order?
If you are using paper order forms you can check with your group administrator for when the forms have to be returned. Usually there is a deadline printed on the top of the form.
If you are using the online program you can login to your profile and you will be able to see your group's next order deadline and delivery date.
How will I receive the gift cards I ordered?
Currently, the only option for distribution and shipping is to have your order shipped to your group Administrator at which point you can either pick-it up yourself or authorize someone else to pick-up your order for you.
We plan to add a “Ship to Home” option shortly where you will be able to have your orders shipped right to your front door. Stay tuned!
It takes about 3-4 days for your order to arrive after the order deadline. We ship with a reliable courier so you can be sure your cards will arrive as promised, on time and ready for you to use.
What if I want to ask family & friend to help me support my group?
We encourage every supporters to invite their family members, friends, co-workers and neighbors to participate in FundScrip as well. After all, they probably buy groceries and gas, just like you do! If you order online, they can order online the same way you do or you can make it really easy and order for them through your own account.
If your group is using the paper order forms, you could give them an order form and they can order at the same time. Some people even keep a supply of grocery cards on hand and sell them to people they come into contact with everyday!
However you decide to do it, asking people you know to help support your cause will increase your groups earnings so that they will reach their goal much sooner.
Policies & Fees
If there is a problem with your order for which we are responsible, then we’ll make good on it.
If there is a problem with your order for which the retailer is responsible, we will work with the retailer on your behalf.
Customer Service fees will be applied for the following:
- Canceling orders after they have been processed
($10 or 2% of the value of the cards - which ever is higher).
Must be requested within 30 days of order processing day. - Returns and exchanges are considered canceled orders
(see previous bullet) and must be requested within 30 days of order processing day. - NSF payments ($14 charge)
