"FundScrip is the program that is running behind the scenes at Kincardine Twp. Tiverton Public School. As busy parents we needed to create a way to generate funds to our schools without any added effort. FundScrip gives us the opportunity to do that by running the program weekly, accumulating rebates quickly and not overburdening the parents to put out any extra money then they would normally for groceries, gas, clothing, books, etc.

In fact, it has enhanced our spending knowing that our choices could deliver a significant rebate to KTTPS from our local retailers, and with the added bonus rebates through the online retailers. 13 weeks generated $2,372 from 15-21 orders per week from extended family purchases, Scrip Exchange Booth, a direct sell of cash for cards, restaurant orders and business coffee funds. We have set the program up to support 3 organizations 100%: Grade 8 trip/graduation, Grade 7 trip and School Community Council.

FundScrip is a coordinator’s dream come true; you don’t have to be a computer whiz to figure this program out. FundScrip has thought of everything in the software from placing the order online, by order form or recurring orders, to distribution of cards packaged in groups or classes, plus keeping track of all the accounting. Customer service is 100% when I need assistance either by phone or e-mail.

I did a survey to get feedback on how the parents like the program and these are the comments: “This program makes sense!”, “We are doing it anyways!”, “I like seeing where the money goes!”. With comments like this the program builds when parents talk to each other, making it is easy to register and get them to participate. This GREAT NEW program offers so much, exciting the parents again to help their school and giving the parents back time to enjoy participating in KTTPS’ true school programs.

Thank you FUNDSCRIP for making me look like I know what I’m doing!"

"We have taken great care in selecting a fundraising initiative that does not involve spending extra dollars. As an elementary school we also do not want our children soliciting.

As a result, FundScrip has become our fundraising partner of choice and we are committed to raising $5,000 this year through everyday shopping. We have identified two areas for parents to choose from as targets for the funds raised which we feel will help focus and motivate the members.

FundScrip has been very patient in getting our program off the ground and their support has been instrumental in the successful launch of the program at our school.

"Dear FundScrip, your program has surpassed anything that our minor hockey team could have imagined when it came to fundraising. It’s simple, fast and very profitable if you put your mind to it. We have only been registered with Fundscrip for 10 weeks and have already raised a whopping $1,700! Our team consists of 18 players and I could not have imagined raising this sort of profit in such a short period of time. Our parents are very motivated to raise the funds so that the costs of travel hockey are not such a burden on anyone.
Your program is self-explanatory and really does what it says. We have all come to the realization that if you can just pre-plan your everyday purchases a few days in advance, your organization can profit with little or no effort! We are spreading the word to as many organizations as we can to inform them of how easy this program is and how easy it is to get started. For anyone who buys gas and groceries on a regular basis - this program is for YOU!
We have asked grandparents/family/friends to help in our efforts and the best part is - it costs nothing to them! No more door-to-door sales, no more looking for handouts, just selling a gift card that is worth the exact same amount and being able to get a kickback from it!
When I first read the information listed on your website, I was immediately intrigued. Could it really be that simple? Well I am here to shout... YES IT CAN! I am constantly updating our parents as to how well we are doing and I think that continues to motivate them to pay even closer attention to some of their other everyday purchases.
Now it's a bummer if you are shopping at one of the listed retailers and you did not purchase a gift card. You start to imagine what you could have raised that week. It definitely has promoted customer loyalty to the retailers that offer their cards as I now purchase with them instead of buying elsewhere. I have been completely satisfied with my contacts at FundScrip.
If I could conclude this testimonial with one word of advice to everyone out there... JOIN IN! This is the easiest way to raise funds for your organization and to do it without having to spend a great deal of time doing so. No time off work, no door to door sales, no walkathons, no car washes, etc. Our small group keeps each other motivated and informed at all times as to how well things are going.

Best wishes and thanks a million for all your help!"

"Looking for ways to raise money for a non-profit organization or group is never an easy task. In today's world, our dollars do not go as far as they did even 2-3 years ago, and the future looks as if this trend will continue. The challenge is how to get funds from people who have already stretched their dollars as far as they can, when there is only so much to go around.

After reading about Fundscrip in the Montreal Gazette, I contacted their office. How easy this has become for our group. It simply does not cost us anything to support our church and is helping us off-set our rising costs. Their weekly notices keep us updated and informed of new retailers in the program, and provide us with useful information.. Once on their secure website you see just how straightforward it is to use, as they walk you through each step in a very simple and easy to follow manner.

The friendly and courteous staff at Fundscrip have been there for us from the being, walking us through each step of the process. They have provided support and insightful ideas on how to introduce the program to our members; ways to encourage more people to participate; assisted those with technical issues; and have responded promptly to all questions.

We have been made to feel as if Fundscrip is as concerned about our success as we are, and that we are in this together.

This has been one of the most positive fundraisers I have been a part of, and look forward to a very long and successful relationship with Fundscrip.

"We have 15 sets of parents involved in the FundScrip ordering. It is going great. Our team manager has already passed back two checks of $100 each that we had to pay up front for travel fees for hockey. We cannot complain about that. Also she says we will probably get back more money because of FundScrip doing so well. We have talked to our principal at school, and are now in the process of trying to set it up for the school.

I do think it is a great fundraiser and keep up the good work!"

-Lisa Scott, FundScrip Member

"Hi FundScrip, I have worked in customer service, so know how good it is when a customer takes the time to write in and congratulate a company on their efforts… so here is your letter from me!

I think that not only will FundScrip change the lives of the families in my group - by funding our trips and activities; it will also have a really amazing impact on my own children.

I am keeping half the money I raise to pay for my children’s university costs - which I think will be very expensive by the time they are old enough to say the least!

I find your system to be the best out there (yes I have looked around!) and your customer service is also top notch!

Thanks so much for all you have done, and are still doing for our group."

-Stephanie Pelletier, FundScrip Member

"I am so pleased with Fundscrip and the simplicity and basis of the program that I have been working on our local Scout Group and our parish church to come on board, and have also suggested it to parents or teachers at other schools. I also had a parent call me to ask for more information on the program as she thought it would be great for her daughter's athletic team's fundraising....
We have been 'active' with Fundscrip only a short period, and during that brief time I have found the process to be professionally run and easy to administer.
I have run two other fundraising programs at our school (gift wrap and magazines) and find this to be the easiest and, over time, I expect it will surpass the others in terms of participation rates and overall profitability, as it taps into people's everyday spending and doesn't ask them to buy things they might not normally buy, at significant markups. Those parents who have tried it, love it, and I had a US parent (new to the school) who was very familiar with this type of program from the US and so pleased to see us adding it here."

-Lynne Thiessen Steel, Lambton Kingsway School and Parent Council

"Raising funds for a church, as with any organization, is not an easy task. The reality is that everyone is pulled in so many different directions with regards to giving money and there is a saturation point. However, operating costs, especially in old buildings tend to go anywhere but down. This is the conundrum that our church, among many others, is facing on an ongoing basis.

However, with every obstacle there is a solution and in our case the solution is FundScrip. The beauty of the FundScrip program is that it enables members of our congregation to give back to the church simply by spending money they already spend. There is no catch!

It is straight forward to get signed up and to use on a regular basis, and the FundScrip people have always been a pleasure to work with.

So far we are very pleased with the results, with about 15 regular weekly orders we are well on our way to obtaining our $5,000 goal for this year and are confident that we will be able to increase the program to achieve a longer term goal of $10,000 a year.

The reach of our church extends much further then our own four walls as our church is the hub for a plethora of fantastic work in our local community and in the world at large. FundScrip is a program that is helping us take care of our own needs, thus enabling us to continue to carry out our mission, take care of others, and ensure our long term viability.

"I run an internet business selling antiques and collectibles. As sole proprietor I can adjust my schedule a bit. This allows me to volunteer my time working with youth. (Summer Camp, etc.) ...Becoming an Administrator for Fundscrip has allowed me to help fund some activities for our youth group. With the blessing of our church board, I see that all the funds from Fundscrip go to “the spiritual growth of youth”. We are still new at the Fundscrip concept but we have had new members join every week since we started. I am comfortable approaching potential supporters because it is not asking for money out of their pocket. I even had one member say she does not like to buy anything without using a gift card because she feels like she is leaving money on the table. This program is fun and easy to do. Thank you Fundscrip. Bob Fretz, Fort Erie, Ontario."
-Bob Fretz - Group Administrator for G.O.L.F. Club

"I just LOVE shopping with gift cards!! I missed the deadline one week and felt guilty buying groceries and gas and not have it count towards my daughter's fund raising!!"
-Joanne Harvey - FundScrip Member

"When I first learned about this program, I was sceptical. It sounded too good to be true, Earning money and not having to sell chocolate bars or other items. I presented the idea at a parent meeting in mid March, only to learn that one of our members had been involved in a similar program for several years and another member had recently been informed by her other daughters sports organization that they would be running a similar program for next season. The parents seemed to be willing to give it a try. What did we have to lose?

In just 2 ½ months, our 14 member group has made over $300.00. All members have participated in the program, some limitedly, and are now branching out to include other family, friends and co-workers. What easier way to make money for a non-profit youth sports group to offset travel expenses for out of town competitions! A little planning ahead and you are rewarded just for buying groceries, gas, and everyday items you would be purchasing anyways. Great way to shop for Christmas and birthday gifts.

The program is an easy way to increase earnings for a group without selling items and putting members to addition expenses. Administration of the program involves very little effort. The program caught on quickly as our members realized the earning potential of their everyday spending habits. The orders arrive pre-packaged and ready to distribute.
Thank you Fundscrip staff for being helpful, caring and willing to work with a group to accommodate their needs.

Any group who does not get involved in this program is losing out on a fantastic opportunity to increase their fundraising potential
