12th Cambridge Scout Group Raises $4,500 for All Their Activities
Scouts from the 11th and 12th Cambridge Scout Group have raised $4,500 with FundScrip for all their adventures! Here is what Group Administrator Vanessa Chong had to say about her fundraiser:
All sections of the 11/12th Cambridge Scout Group (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, Rovers) have been participating in a FundScrip paper order campaign every month to raise money for activities such as crafts, camps and the Kub Kar Rally, and/or to go towards the annual registration fee. In 2015, FundScrip helped many of our Scouts and Venturers pay for their exchange trip to Cambridge, England!
This summer, our Venturers are travelling to British Columbia for a hiking excursion, while our Scouts are attending the Great Lakes Jambo. There is always a need to raise funds.
I love how easy it is to approach people to participate because there are so many retailers to choose from - and everyone needs to buy groceries, gas and clothes. It is amazing how even those 2 and 3% donations add up to a decent amount after a while. And the bigger percentages are a real bonus!
