5 Fundraising Ideas to Complement Your FundScrip Campaign This Spring
Spring is coming and there are great ways to boost your donations this season. You can organize other fundraising events as a complement to your FundScrip fundraising campaign. For each event, get people together and pass around paper order forms. You can also have a booth to sell gift cards in person! Lucky for you, we thought about a few events that you should totally try during the flower blooming season.
Fun Spring Activities Day
Days are getting warmer, so for those who hate the cold, it's time to finally go outside and have some fun. Keep your supporters active with a day full of fun activities and have them bring their kids! You can buy grocery gift cards and everything that you need for each activity. Raise money by selling tickets and snacks and drinks that you can buy with the grocery gift cards. Here are a few ideas of Spring activities that you could include:

Spring Cleaning Garage Sale
Dust, clean, desinfect. It's Spring cleaning time! While cleaning, put aside unnecessary items that you're willing to sell. Not only those items could find a new happy owner, but you could also raise a few bucks for your cause! Get your supporters to do the same during their Spring cleaning, and organize one big garage sale for your group. Together, you will be able to raise more money! Don't forget to include a gift card booth to sell cards in person.
St. Patrick's Day Celebration
St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner (March 17th), and FundScrip can help you raise donations for your group while preparing for your celebration, however you decide to celebrate. We have over 240 retailers for the occasion - you will find your perfect St. Patrick's outfit with apparel retailers, food and beer with grocery retailers and you can make delicious drinks with SAQ for Quebec supporters and PEI Liquor for Prince Edward Island supporters. Don't forget the decorations, because our retailers haven't!
Easter
This year, Easter is late in April so if you start planning now, you could have a really great Easter campaign! To complete your paper order form campaign with FundScrip, we suggest you prepare an Easter day full of activities. Have a Easter egg hunt and egg decorating table. Buy all the supplies you need with gift cards that you can get through FundScrip to raise donations at the same time. If you want to raise more money for your group, make it a big event and have all of your supporters to invite their friends and family. Everyone can pay a fee to enter and run the chance to win a lottery prize at the end of the day.
Mother's Day
For Mother's Day, plan a special day and spoil your mother, or any mother that's special to you. You could start the day with a nice breakfast, for which we have restaurant gift cards, or grocery gift cards if it's a home made breakfast. You can go shopping, go to the spa, or even go on a getaway, only to name a few ideas. End the night with a thoughtful gift - a gift card that you have specifically chosen, or a gift for which you paid with gift cards!
