Fundstream Inc. announced today the implementation of a new payment method for supporters using its FundScrip gift card fundraising program. The new method of payment, Online Bill Payment Service, allows FundScrip supporters to pay for orders through their online banking websites without incurring any processing fees.

FundScrip’s Online Bill Payment Service can be used by customers of most major financial institutions in Canada, including BMO Bank of Montreal, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Toronto Dominion (TD-Canada Trust), Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank), Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), National Bank, Caisse Populaire Desjardins, Laurentian Bank, and more.

Fundstream President & CEO, Christopher Hill, explains, “This new payment method required a significant investment in both time and money, and is important because it eliminates two significant barriers to using a program like ours. First, using many other forms of payment incurs transaction fees, and second, other ‘free’ forms of payment require providing personal financial information. It’s an established, easy-to-use form of payment known to virtually everyone with a Canadian bank account.”

Along with the addition of Online Bill Payment, FundScrip offers payment options, including credit card and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
