MONTREAL, Sep. 5, 2018 – Fundstream Inc. announced today that the fundraising groups who use its gift card fundraising program, FundScrip, have collectively raised over $21 million dollars since its inception in 2004. These funds have been raised by charitable and non-profit organizations, such as schools, sports teams and clubs, religious, cultural and community groups.

It was only four years ago that groups using the Canada-wide fundraising program passed the $10 million dollars raised mark. Since then, the continuous growth in fundraising results for FundScrip groups represents a strong vote of confidence in this fundraising model that doesn’t ask participants to perform door-to-door product sales. Instead, supporters raise funds simply by purchasing gift cards at face-value through the FundScrip program to pay for their everyday purchases (i.e., groceries, gas, gifts, and household items). Supporters can choose gift cards from our growing list of over 240 Canadian retailers.

FundScrip supporters can use regular physical gift cards, reloadable gift cards, or electronic gift cards that are redeemable via FundScrip’s mobile wallet.
