FundScrip Helps Support the Port Nelson United Church Food Voucher Program
The Port Nelson United Church Food Voucher Program, Burlington, Ontario was started in 2009 and has served over 800 participants over those years. Each adult participating in the program receives one $25.00 President’s Choice gift card (purchased through FundScrip) upon request every other month for those living with food insecurity.
Through regular donations and the ongoing use of our FundScrip program in 2015 $45,000.00 of gift cards were received by participants. Donations from FundScrip add up to over $4,000 in a year and a half and counting!
What a creative way to take advantage of the fundraising potential of FundScrip, while helping out those in need, and raising funds all at the same time!
